Comfortable hotel with period features. Well laid out and airy rooms. Exceptional vegetarian and meat options. Lovely and helpful staff. Reasonable room tariff.

This hotel was a real treat for us. We loved the cozy room with lots of natural light and the scrumptious vegetarian and meat dishes in the restaurant. The owners and staff made us feel so welcome and were incredibly helpful, making sure our stay was enjoyable.

Great food! The breakfasts and dinners were amazing, my partner and I found it hard to keep ourselves from eating everything. The staff were friendly and informative, offering us suggestions for things to do nearby. The hotel is situated in a charming location near to the river and a few minutes’ walk away from the main attractions.
The décor was outdated and had a distinct musty smell, to add to that the mattress was uncomfortable and the pillows were lumpy. The hotel felt old and not very well kept, it lacked the lively feel we were expecting during our city break.

We recently had a romantic escape and found the hotel to be very comfortable. The period features were impressive and the exterior was lovely. The head chef was truly passionate about his craft and the cuisine was outstanding, especially the vegetarian options. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the reasonable pricing.
The mattresses were too soft and the old fashioned decorations were a bit too overwhelming. It would be nice to see some modernization in the decor. Additionally, there were no lifts and the stairs were not accommodating for carrying luggage. However, the hotel's key location made up for these issues.

The hotel has a beautiful and quiet location, with lovely walks along the river close by. the restaurant offers excellent food and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Guests can enjoy modernized rooms, with comfortable beds and updated bathrooms. the breakfast is delicious with plenty of options to choose from.
The decoration could be improved in some areas and is outdated.
